Municipal premises — open with BankID

Open library hours, sports halls, community premises and reuse centres — without bunches of keys and fobs to administer. Visitors verify with BankID and the door opens; anyone without BankID can enter a door code. Every opening is logged per person, access can be revoked instantly and data runs on Swedish cloud infrastructure under GDPR. Already in municipal use — including Askersund municipality.

How it works

From policy to logged opening

  1. 1 Set rules per facility You decide who gets access to what and when — self-service hours at the library, bookable slots in the sports hall.
  2. 2 Clubs book themselves Clubs and residents book their slot in the app or on the web — the same rules for everyone, with no phone calls or key handovers.
  3. 3 Verify at the door The visitor verifies with BankID and the door opens for the valid time. Anyone without BankID enters a door code.
  4. 4 Every opening is logged Access is logged per person and can be revoked instantly if something changes — traceable whenever follow-up is needed.

FAQ

Good to know

Does it work for open library hours?

Yes. During self-service hours the borrower verifies with BankID and the door opens — with no staff on site. Every opening is logged per person, and you control who gets access and when.

How is GDPR handled and where is data stored?

Data runs on Swedish cloud infrastructure and is processed under GDPR. Logging is per person for the sake of traceability, and we provide the documentation you need for procurement and data protection assessments.

Can clubs book and get in on their own?

Yes. The club books its slot under the municipality's rules and the door opens for the booked time. No caretaker driving out to unlock, and no key to hand back.

What about visitors without BankID?

They can enter a time-limited door code, or be let in via QR or SMS. You choose which ways to open apply per facility, so no one is left out.
